how fucking mental are they? i got this born against / suckerpuch record and its floppy like paper and square, has anyone else got anything like this????? it plays fine and everything.

Flexidiscs = ghetto

They mainly came free with magazines, because they are -flexible- it doesn't really matter if the magazine gets bent a bit, it'll still play. They were loads cheaper to manufacture and because they were a freebie, they were allowed to be 'throwaway'.

For the uninitiated, a flexi disc is fairly thin sheet of plastic the : colour, thickness and feel of photographic film but in a bit square or rectangle (usually). In the middle on one side you can see grooves that look just like those on a record, and it's got a hole in the middle.

You put it on a turntable just like a record, put the needle down at the beginning of the groove and listen away.
